Winter Views Along the Naugatuck River

I returned to Waterbury from work early today, and I happened to have my camera with me, so I decided to take advantage of the last hour of daylight to take a peak at the Naugatuck River from the northern, center, and southern parts of the city.

Looking downstream from Thomaston Avenue, just south of Route 262.

Beautiful! I used to love walking around in the woods during my teenage years there. Loved seeing views like this, especially in fall and winter. In spring and summer spent a lot of time in the denser areas, following a brook to see where it came out, daring to go into a tunnel that went under a street. Used to sit by the Naugatuck River behind the stadium, when the water was green, and still think it beautiful. Now it naturally is again, as you've shown.
